The community of offenders on parole or probation is expected to continue to grow as state budget deficits require prisons to close. This increase has strained the ability of parole officers and supervisors to manage the burgeoning growth in parolees. RemoteMDx’s new TrackerPAL solution solves this problem by allowing a supervisor to manage dozens of parolees simultaneously.

Under the RemoteMDx program, a parolee is required to wear the TrackerPAL device at all times, allowing professionally trained operators in the Offender Monitoring Center to track the location of every parolee in real-time. The monitoring network automatically checks to make sure that the parolees stay within inclusion areas and stay out of exclusionary zones. At the first sign of a problem, the Monitoring Center can directly contact the parolee and, if necessary, put the supervising parole officer in direct contact with the parolee via a two-way cellular connection built into each TrackerPAL device. The parole officer can access a secured website that shows where the parolee both is and has been, allowing the supervisor to better manage offenders.
